White goods appliance recycling event announced for West Maui residents
Appointments required for drop-off and curbside pick-up Aug. 1-3
The County of Maui Department of Environmental Management has partnered with Malama Maui Nui to provide a White Goods Appliance Collection Event for West Maui residents on Aug. 1-3, 2024.
Eligible appliances include refrigerators, freezers, air conditioners, water coolers, washers, dryers, stoves/ranges, microwaves and water heaters.
Appointments are required. Residents can schedule an appointment through the Mālama Maui Nui website for these options:
- Drop-Off Service: Residents can set an appointment to bring their white goods to the designated collection site on Saturday, August 3, 2024, between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Labor will be available to help offload items.
- Curbside Pick-Up Service: For residents who are unable to transport their appliances, a special pick-up service is available this Thursday and Friday, Aug. 1 and 2. Residents are required to put their white goods out on the curb by Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
