Residents are encouraged to attend the County of Maui’s Weekly Disaster Recovery Community Update Meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16, in the Lahaina Civic Center social hall.

The meeting will include an overview of the County’s draft Long-Term Recovery Plan, which has been developed with community input. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will provide a progress report on debris clearing, and there will be a status report by the County Department of Environmental Management on the Temporary Debris Disposal site.

The meeting will be livestreamed on the County of Maui’s Facebook page; no account is needed to view. Akakū: Maui Community Media will show a live broadcast of the meeting on Channel 53.
