Residents are encouraged to attend the County of Maui’s Weekly Disaster Recovery Community Update Meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, in the Lahaina Civic Center gymnasium.

The meeting will include information on shoring upand bracing of damaged structures, information on cesspool inspections, an update on interim housing from the State Department of Human Services, and a review of input received from neighborhood planning workshops conducted by the Office of Recoveryʻs community planning team. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will report on the status of debris clearing.

The meeting will be livestreamed on the County of Maui’s Facebook page; no account is needed to view. The meeting also can be viewed on Akakū Channel 53.
